OK, I'm NOT asking when Olympus comes out. However, on phpBB.com, a progress report on Olympus was posted in March, which mentioned that work remained on the following:
--Warning System
--Usergroups
--Report System
--New Module System
--ACP/MCP/UCP Modules
--Install System
--Pruning
--Search
--Styling
--Permissions
How far along are we from the March 19th Progress Report?

Re: Olympus Progress Report
On a serious note, looking at the CVS checkins since that time, I've noticed these features get implemented:
- Standard Module System (although it isn't complete AFAIK)
- some styling work (not too significant AFAIK)
- Cron system
However, I'm not entirely sure that all of those features from the March 19 list will be implemented in phpBB 3.0.x. psoTFX wrote that three features were moved back to 3.2.x at a recent Developers Meeting.
You're probably better just to wait for the next official progress report than to listen to me though...
I belive the Report and Warning systems do have code moving "behind closed doors", but the reason I believe that is the March 19 update

Re: Olympus Progress Report
IMHO a stable phpBB Olympus is far, far away.
During the last weeks, there only were few CVS checkins. An active project looks different.
phpBB Olympus itself is a good project and the code looks promising, but my confidence in the developers is lost.
Bad information strategy, bad schedule, bad answers, bad transparency, ...
I hope there will be some people which take over the sources and split off a project on their own.

You're welcome to try if you think you can do better.mip wrote: IMHO a stable phpBB Olympus is far, far away.

Re: Olympus Progress Report
The problem is nobody knows how much is really done as lot's of code is supposed to be not checked in...
Don't give me my freedom out of pity!
