When phpBB 3 comes out and I get it set up and running I will break it/fix it/break it/fix it then after I am done I will upgrade my current forum :) I am terribly anxious to get started as my breaking/fixing phases take awhile with my limited knowledge.

Kudos to the phpBB team for all of their efforts and especially acyd for picking up the torch to see phpBB through to it's new generation. So many things on this new one that I have wanted but didnt want to go with the heavy mods for attachments and subforums and such on the 2.0 line so I have happily awaited this new release.

ACP Login wrote: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.
Once authenticated to access the ACP you will be able to access the ACP. This is done for added security (in case someone gets access to your system, etc.).

Plus you will find that "permissions" and settings are different from previous phpBB configurations...

Please be reminded that this current version is not supported beyond general discussions on here and that you may have other problems running the CVS snapshot because all aspects are not finished, but the beta will be out in the not-too-distant future we hope and other features and functions will stabilize a little more.

Welcome Aboard and Good Luck.
Thanks. It was looping at the "re-authenticate yourself" page... doesn't matter now.. I modified the ACP file and removed that procedure. I have to say the new ACP looks awesome.

I will start whining about when version 4 will be out, and every day I will make a post asking where to download it.

First thing I will do is install it locally, secondly test it, thirdly try to mod the (few) things that aren't included (yet), fourthly test it again, fifthly, test it once again and finally test it.

This is not to express my lack of trust in the developers, on the contrary, it's a lack of trust in myself. I like to know the whole setup and understand the code before going online with it just in case something crops up (I started locally with 2.0.3 but went online only after 2.0.4 came out).

Even though I'm as impatient as everyone else as to Olympus' date of eruption, I quite like the way things are going, it gives me ample time to check out the code, and I guess I might be online as soon as 2 weeks after O-day.
Procrastination is my hobby, but I keep on postponing it.

The second the beta is out I will create some nice skins for it that stick to the themes of the websites I run. Then I will test them locally, then update every single site I own!
