In addition to what Graham is saying, it makes absolutely no difference, because it is just looks. The "API", if you will, will not change, so you can happily develop your own theme by building on whatever is supplied with the beta releases without knowing how the standard interface for the Gold release will look.puttyfly wrote: it would be easier to offer the new style with the first beta? or wouldnt' it?

the 2.2/3.0 thing didn't make a whole lot of sense at first.
then i installed a CVS package. WOW.
1.) it. is. free.
2.) fabulous permission system
3.) subforums
4.) friend/foe list
5.) more general control over everything (custom bbcodes, authentication things, image paths etc.)
6.) poll options
7.) admin log on, ACP re-log on.
im just oogling and oogling trying to look at every pane in the ACP. mmmmmmm.

You didn't read the whole thread, apparently. This is about what features will be in Olympus which you are looking forward to, not what you want to see.
