Before anyone bites my head off. I just wanted to know when is 3.0.0 est to be released. I understand that it may change, but im sure i read somewhere that is was late Feb, early march.
Could someone tell me...
I only want to know becuase im re-doing my forum, but im not sure if i should wait, i could wait 1/2 month. so if the release of the new forum is within this time span it should be ok.

Re: release date.
That's when the first BETA might be released. There is no indication for the final release.
Re: release date.
If I had a quid for every "when will 3.0 be released" thread I've seen on the net, I'd be a millionaire now

Meh, those questions have only been piling up for a month or so. I prefer the 2.2 questions

Re: release date.
why not sticky a thread "release dat here" and then it contains THERE IS NO RELEASE DATE
Re: release date.
Actually, to keep us sane, I think any posts with the word "release" in it should be automatically deleted..
Ok, maybe not that much. Maybe warn the user in bright red big huge letters that they can only continue submitting if they are not asking about the release date. heh

Re: release date.
No, bright red huge letters is the worst possible thing that could be done. It seems quite obvious to me that most internet users are unable to see the colour red. It's probably something to do with radiation for the screen. Its the only possible reason that I can find that so many people fail to read the rules on any website ever made.
Maybe we should put the message in very small, near white letters that to any normal person are impossible to read, you never know, it could help, and it isn't possible that less people would get the message.

Good point.. I think the only way people MIGHT read it is if you have like 10 pages in a row that ask things like, "Are you asking what the release date is?", "Click no if you still want to post", etc..Lastof wrote: No, bright red huge letters is the worst possible thing that could be done.

That was then - Before some tvot took down the server for a week. I'm not holding my breath for that timeframe, although it would be a very nice supriseWyriHaximus wrote:http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=256072" target="_blankhttp://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=256072 wrote: So to reiterate very clearly, the next major release of phpBB, now 3.0.0 "Olympus" is still en-route.
