Hot burglaries (burglaries that happen when people are home) are much more common in Europe than they are in the US. Here, it's almost shocking that someone would risk getting caught. Across the pond, there is less fear of the consequences, though the overall burglary rate is, at least in some nations, lower than in the US.graphic wrote: I can't believe someone broke in while you were home.
Break-in this night :(

You can never go home again... but I guess you can shop there.
Re: Break-in this night :(
Holy Crap that sucks!
Well, Once I was trying to install a dual-boot system (consisting of Linux + Windows) and it went horribly. I had a basic back-up of all the things I wanted, but I lost most of my settings and programs.
Well, enough about me. Hope the police can get your stuff back.
By the way, I have a little message to the robbers:
I just want 2.2 out (even a beta) so bad.

I bet it was the VBB programmers, after some *real* code
Seriously, that really sucks. I'm constantly amazed at the level that people who dare to associate themselves with other humans will sink too.
If my box got nicked now, I'd cry. 2 Peices of un backed up coursework, countless MP3's & other downloads. I really need to get that fileserver up & running to make some backups to.
Best of luck with recovering your kit.
Dan

That's a very libelious suggestion to make. Even in jest.the_dan wrote: I bet it was the VBB programmers, after some *real* code
There's one thing to complete with a competitor, but its something totally different to demean them and unlawfully degrade them by insinuating that they are theives.

My word. I am glad, however, that you deleted the "lol" smiley placed immediately afterward so as to make your point seem more appropriate out of context.Seb Harvey wrote:That's a very libelious suggestion to make. Even in jest.the_dan wrote: I bet it was the VBB programmers, after some *real* code

Oh please. What sort of society would we live in if everyone was afraid of insulting each other in the slightest? It was obvious that he was joking. If I was a VBB programmer, I'd probably laugh. And if I didn't, I wouldn't go and sue anyone over it. It's not even personal.Seb Harvey wrote:That's a very libelious suggestion to make.
