Question about styles

Hey,

I have 2 questions about the new upcoming phpbb2.2

1) If i made a style that worked with the devolpment version: 2.1.2, will it work when 2.2 comes out?

2) If i made a style that work with version: 2.0.* Will it work with 2.2? (I can guess the answer, but im just checking )

Please state the question number when repling,

ok, on 1, would it be better to wait till the beta is out then make the style? if i did would that work with the final version?

It would be far more likely to work, but obviously isn't guaranteed. Nonetheless, any changes from beta to final would probably be minor.

Certainly waiting for the Beta or RC before you start is a sensible move. It is still possible that things will change between those versions and the final one, but at that point there will be some support available (and changes are more likely to appear in the changelog)

ok, thanks, just thought it would be good to get the style ready for when its final when i upgrade, but il wait beta or rc then,

Well you could certainly knock up the style and even split it into some of the template files if you were brave. Just be prepared to go over them at a later date if some variable names change or minor functionality is added/changed/removed.
