Where are the [RFC] prefixes going?

Nobody is making a "big deal" out of it (I thought it was just a bug) but that doesn't make what I said less valid.

Removing them wasn't really random. I think this was communicated a while back. ;)

Considering that they weren't all done, I'd call that random and unnecessary. I know it wasn't malicious which is why it's not that big of a deal but there wasn't any good reason to edit them either, imho.

At least we know what happened and we don't have to worry about some prefix bug.

Some like to hit the 'view new posts' as soon as they enter this forum and see whats going on. [RFC] stands out in the search results from the rest of conversations that might not be too interesting.

Unless the OP neglects the prefix....

I like to read the post in the general forum first. Can we have a general tag for all posts in that forum? And maybe another prefix for posts in the test forum. I never read that. That way its easier for me.

It wasn't random. New topics posted with the prefix will have them removed. Topics posted within the last few weeks were changed and this is not the first time it's happened, it's just the first time people have noticed.

This was decided and communicated a while back.
