Personally, I NEVER use the numbers that are between the first and last numbers - whether I'm on a phpbb site or not. I think most people use the First, Last, Next and Previous buttons.
On another note, I think the size of the buttons needs to be increased a bit to accommodate mobile users.

I used. When the topic is more than 100 pages, this field is useful.PayBas wrote:Does anyone seriously use the page jump?
Sorry for my English.
Re: Better Pagination for touch screens
But why? If a topic is 154 pages long, why would you want to jump to page 139? Unless you are certain that the post you want is there.Sumanai wrote:I used. When the topic is more than 100 pages, this field is useful.PayBas wrote:Does anyone seriously use the page jump?

I do not always can remember the exact text, sufficient for searching, but approximately remember what page it was. Open page 130, and recollect the context of more accurate page number, and open it.
Sorry for my English.

Yeah, I also use those page buttons. Sometimes if I have a rough idea of where a post is, so I click the page number and go forward (or backward) from there.PayBas wrote:But why? So I think that your question has been answered -- some people "seriously" use them.

Re: Better Pagination for touch screens
The question is, are "some users" enough to keep that?

No, the question is "Should we make a change that breaks how some users work?" (especially for very little perceived gain).
If you want to hide the information on a small screen or make it a drop-down list, I'm fine with that.

I think allot of moderators or administrators will use that to go faster from one place to another.
