Private Messages list like Notifications list

I think it would be interesting, make the Private Messages link in something like the list of notifications.
So the user could access the latest messages faster, and we would have to have a button to send PM.



I made a mockup with only html (forgive me), and I think it would be interesting.
So the two links would get a more consistent look.

So clicking the link would show a menu instead of just taking me to the page where all of the PMs are? That doesn't seem like a great benefit (it may even be annoying).

we would probably make the number of to the pms but the title would display a menu or the other way around

I thought it was a quick change, did not know it had already been discussed and would be "implemented" only in a next version. Thank you.

The goal is not to show a menu, it would also show the latest private messages (a number would have to be defined) that the user received.
Thus, he could already see its last 10 messages (for example) without having to access a new page.

its been mentioned not really discussed and not for sure to be implemented so this topic is necessary!

There is already a option to see pm as a noti, that should be enough I believe.
Maybe to see new pm in noti header and delete the pm link is a better option.

PMs are not notifications, even face book knows to separate the functionality!
