Hi,
We want to see a phpbb Shoutbox in next version it is necessary for a forum. We have tried to install shoutbox and chatbox from third parties and they didnt work correctly.

Doesn't need to be part of core. It's better off as an extension.

Nothing "need" to be part of core. phpbb doesn't need to be existed, but it's and that's good.

Im using mchat on several of my forums. Shoulndt be part of the core though, imo.

phpBB is a bulletin board software, not a chat room. This should not be a part of the core, IMO.
