Hello all,
I have fallen behind on my updates of my phpBB forum. Sadly to say I went to upgrade this morning only to find that I wasn't able to because of site being down. I have used the alternate links provided but I need a question answered.
If i go to upgrade what download should I use? Should I use the automatic upgrade of phpBB-3.0.3_to_3.0.4.zip or should I do an installation update with the main phpBB-3.0.4 install?
It sucks to hear that phpBB was exploited and I hope that you get the site backup soon. After you guys saying that you were exploited using phplist. I immediately took my phplist offline. I am way behind I know and that I need to be more proactive, but I wish you guys luck and hope you get things back in order soon.
Other then the question above that is all I need at this time. I have already backed up my database and such. Now i just need up update. So please help and good luck.

Re: Upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.0.4 Question
Get a download of the full version of phpBB3.0.4
Upload everything except config.php and the images and files folders.
Go to yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php
Let it run
Delete the install folder
You are now up to date.
If you have a 3rd party style you will need to look for a 3.0.4 version of that too.

Re: Upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.0.4 Question
I really done screwed up now. I disabled the board prior to upgrading so that I could run mysql backup of database without anyone posting. Only to find out that after backup was done I didn't bother to re-enable board. I proceeded to upgrade and ran update database update script, only to find after all this was done that I can't get back into ACP.
So then I did searching on google and found this post only I can't read it becasue phpbb.com is down.

So I got to thinking since phpbb stores all settings in Database I can just login to database and reset value for disable board. No such luck. Since I can't view those links because phpbb is down perhaps someone can help.

Don't panic.
Even if the board is disabled it should not stop you logging in. However, if you go into the database and look in the config table you can change the board_disable field to 0. Then connect by FTP and delete all the files from the cache folder except for index.htm and htaccess.
The board should now be re-enabled and you should be able to log in.
