SOLVED: Delete "ignore member" from profiles

Post by Midge »

(Don't worry, this is my last post for today... :D )

Since it doesn't make sense to have the "ignore member" feature on my board I deleted the option from the UCP. However, the "add to ignored members" link still appears when users look at each others' profile:

How can I remove it? Thanks a lot in advance! ;)

I have no idea what style you are using but if it's prosilver based then open up memberlist_view.html and find and remove the following line of code:

Code: Select all

<dt>&nbsp;</dt> <dd><a href="{U_ADD_FOE}"><strong>{L_ADD_FOE}</strong></a></dd>

If you go to ACP / System / Modules / UCP you can disable Friends & Foes

Since they didn't seem to want to remove the 'Friends' part, I didn't suggest that route.

Well... You can disable foes by themselves by clicking into Friends & Foes and just disabling the Foes part.

Both of you, thank you very much! :D
Sorry, Brf, for being unclear. I had already disabled the "foe" part in the UCP, so the users couldn't edit anything in this respect. The only line left for them was the one above, and bolverk's suggestion took care of that.
Now there's only the "friend" part left. COOL, thanks again!

You had already disabled the Foe module in the ACP?

Then it sounds like a bug.
I see there is a S_ZEBRA switch to turn off the whole friend/foe section, but not one for each part.

Strange. There is a section in the module configuration area called "Friends" (UCP_ZEBRA). Underneath you'll find "Edit Friends" (UCP_ZEBRA_FRIENDS) and "Edit Foes" (UCP_ZEBRA_FOES) (paraphrasing, because the text is German in my ACP). I disabled "Edit Foes" and the option was deleted from the users' UCP.
However, the link I was inquiring about in this thread was not, so users could still have added other members to the list without being able to change that (or to even see the list).
It does sound like a bug, but since I just started using phpbb3 I better leave that decision to you. ;)
