I always pronounce each letter separate in php, and pronounce mySQL as my ess cue ell

If it contains vowel sounds (FAQ, the 'my' part of mySQL) you pronounce it. If it doesn't, you spell it out (PHP, the SQL part of mySQL). Any other way is evil and will result in having Draegonis sent to your house.

It's like mysql. Do you say Miskl or Migh Ess-Queue-El? Obviously, it is Migh Ess-Queue-El.

I've always heard mai-see-queue-ell (my sequel) and PHP. Funny enough, most M$ acros aren't pronounced much, such as ADO or ASP. Perhaps, on the latter, Microsnot (where do you want to blow today?) doesn't want the association with a snake. And just try pronouncing XP. Exp?
