thats what i mean, everything is there except the line of code from the view_post_body.html...i think thats the right file, the language string is there, the anchor is there, its just missing the one line of code in the template file.

Mabe it's not missing, and they just removed it..? This is not the (only) final style by the way.

ok here you go a quick mod to add back to top

see a demo here

<phpBB3 Dir>/styles/subSilver/template/viewtopic_body.html

find (should be line 269)

Code: Select all

<td nowrap="nowrap">&nbsp;</td>
replace with

Code: Select all

<td nowrap="nowrap"><a href="#top">Back to Top</a></td>

Replace it with this, it makes more sence:

Code: Select all

<td nowrap="nowrap" class="nav" style="text-align: center;"><a href="#top">{L_BACK_TO_TOP}</a></td>

Unless they've changed the way it works in Olympus, the variables between {} need to be set in the core code. If they are not, there's no use putting them in your templates because they will not get replaced by the intended value. The fact this works indeed suggests it's only a slight ommision in the template (did anyone file a bug report yet? ;)); language var is there, core code is setting it, anchor is there, just this tidbit missing.

The lang var is there for template designers that want to use it, I don't think the "accidentally" removed it from subSilver2. Maybe the link will be used in the new style. I don't really see the point of having a "back to top" link below every single post.
