Quick Steps to hack-proof phpBB2 mod

Post by Dog Cow »

I wrote this on the main phpbb web board. It deals with a bunch of steps people can take to minimize the amount of damage, once a hacker gets in, can do.

Anyway, several users suggested posting it as new features.

If you read through it, there is a suggestion to rename the admin folder, among other things.

While very long, it is worth a read to get new security ideas.

Given that this was posted on the wrong forum and the problems with the linked topic anyway, I think I'll lock it
