phpBB3 Unread post system

Post by calzoneman »

How does the phpBB3 unread post system work? I know that phpBB2 used last visit time, but Olympus seems to have a different method of keeping track of which posts a user has read. I would like to know how this works for a project I'm working on that involves phpbb3.

In phpBB3 every post is marked as unread until you read it.

Oh, really?

I just assume that it somehow keeps track of it in the database, it isn't anything in my area.

Default is in the database, but you can set it to track in cookies instead.
