Interesting that not all the bugs have been closed this time. I guess it's a case of prioritizing the really important fixes and then they get some breathing space to fix the lesser ones.

Maybe they want to test some stuff on the new sql like wrapper thing as the converter seems to have changed a bit and the dbal.

Like I said, priorities. I guess it depends what you're doing.
