Mod/Style Naming Policies

Post by geoffreak »

I just want to know phpBB's policies on naming mods and styles.

I know of someone on another board who is developing a "cannabis" style (seen below) and I want to know how the phpBB team would react to this ;)

It's a nice looking style that didn't deserve the blasting he got for it.

Edit: I misread the thread. I also took the fact that it was gone to mean he took it down. It actually got moved.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. His remade mod looks even better. :)

hehe I wonder if you could do a proTripping or subAcid style. Make it unbelievably psychedelic with loads of random swirling images :P That would be cool!

I suggest using names that inspire people to have a look for styles. Interesting names for interesting styles. If you call it prored or problack I'm going to yawn.

For MODs, use two or three words to describe the function of the MOD. Inventing trademarks makes your MOD hard to find. Good past examples are
Cash MOD
Attachment MOD
Flash MOD
Birthdays
Simple Subforms

bad titles are (sorry if I am picking on you)
ezDownloads
Invitation_Only_U2U
