Have you noticed?
The spam bots that hit phpBB.com don't hit here somehow. I wonder if it has to do with any security updates?

Nah, we asked a Voodoo priestess to put a spell on the forum. As long as we keep sticking those needles into the spammer dolls (hint: nail gun), we are safe.

Better be careful. Those spammers might get a hold of a Bertie Bear and return the favor. Poor Bertie...

If they got their hands on Bertie, well, let's just say we wouldn't have any problems with spammers any more.

It is the lack of phpBB3 supporting spam bots.
No need to write a bot for phpBB3 if hardly anyone uses it, vs the hundreds of times more that use phpBB2.
Also, I know of one spam bot that does support posting on phpBB3. I actually had that spam bot visit my phpBB3 forum a few times and post spam.

We have seen several bots that can post on phpBB3 already.
One of them especially was strutting how they could break the captcha!
And they claim it's a way to get free traffic to your site. made me so mad.
Evil creeps!
I have had one spam bot post on my forum... I didn't realize it was a spambot, so I just deleted the post and he came back and posted twice more... so I banned it and that was the last time I've seen a spambot in action (thankfully)

Of course a moderator has killed "him".
