What do you mean? Beta5? Beta4 is out about a month...

It's not compatible with Beta4... since it was not in the package back then.
It's only compatible with recent CVS snapshots as of about a week and a half ago.
Or wait until Beta5, it will be in that package.

Hi guys,
Like everyone else i'm waiting for Olympus to go gold but now there's a converter i thought it's about time to give it a go and see if the size of my forum is going to be a problem. The v2 board i run has just over 31000 members and 2 million posts.
It's a nightmare for me to disable the board then take a copy of the database in reasonable time due to it's size so i'm going to be trying it on the live box with a tape backup as my getout 8O
A couple of questions 1st....
1. I presume i install Olympus into the same database a phpbb2...it'll just create new tables prefixed differently and still retain all current tables?
2. The upgrade script will migrate data to the new Olympus tables in the same database leaving all the phpbb2 tables intact with data?

1. It won't install if tables with the same prefix already exist. You'll have to change the prefix.

Ran a test drive, I love the convert process, and 3.x is a lovely improvement over 2.x.
I had no problems, except for avatars. While the avatar dimension of users was remembered, the avatar itself was not. All the other settings converted succesfully.
EDIT: seems all polls are broken. While the stats are still there (x votes for the first option etc), the description of each voting option is gone. If you edit the post, there is nothing there in the poll options. Doesn't bother me though, but may bother others.

Works a treat but it's pretty slow on a large board...
Does anyone know if there are plans for a .sql upgrade script for those with shell access? Certainly would be a lot quicker!

Do you have whm/phpmyadmin? You can just copy the database to newuser_newdb. It's much quicker than disabling, downloading, enabling, uploading, then converting.
