Me too I am waiting for PhpBB 3 for my new forum. If I install PHPBB 2 can i upgrade anytime to 3 without losing Members/ Posts etc?

Also i know this is an annoying question but how long do you think it will take? I just want to know if it is in the weeks or month or next year?

Yes there will be an upgrade script from v2 to v3.
When is it ready? I don't think anyone knows that, not even the programmers. It'll be done when it's done.
