Post faster than the speed of light? So that means we would be posting messages back in time! 8O

If you modify the search engine of PHPBB2 to mysql fulltext searching and remove the old search engine update queries when each posting is made there will be no posting/editing speed problems anymore, especially on boards with a lot of postings.

It isn't that complicated at all .. Just a couple of minutes actually.

I did it a full year ago and I'm still satisfied 8) ... Searching is even better because it allows you to search with quotes to find larger pieces of text if you would like.

How did you figure that out? When I go to the bugtracker it says 690 open reports and I don't see how to sort by phpbb3.

There's a link in the bottom (in the bug tracker) named "phpBB 3.0 (Olympus)".

And no, I do not think we are going to have RC1 (devs, prove me wrong ;) ). But we may get beta5 by the end of the year, who knows... As long as devs decide that it's not worth going skiing...

I'm sure they're using their extended Christmas break (from their 'proper jobs') to finish off the next release before New Year...... please! ;)
