But not-so-intelligent people shouldn't create boards.

The problem was never missing dates...there were far too
many wrong ones. psoTfx had 100 creative ways to give
out dates without to give us a date, others here too.
This is continued now with "in a few weeks" prediktions

When will the dev team learn...

No. Not-so-intelligent people shouldn't create boards with any stable or not stable version of board software, because they cannot create good boards. Only intelligent people creates good discusion boards. And there is too many bad boards...

Go on about timelines all you want. 2+ yrs is TOO LONG. It is unheard of in this biz. Makes me believe as well that they really dont care what people think of phpbb. Because if they did i highly doubt that it would have taken this long to get this out. There is simply no more excuses left as to why this is not out yet in beta with very few bugs. Heck after this long it should have been about bug free months ago and into the RC stages. JMHO sorry if some dont like it.

Of course it's been too long. Everybody says so. Everybody knows it.

Did you think that you had some sort of insight none of the rest of us have? That we're all stupid or something?

I'm not trying to be rude either, but many of us were tired of this kind of unconstructive, unhelpful, and pointless "wisdom" long ago. People who think they're entitled to go on (and on, and on) about the long development time don't like it when many of us think there's no point going on about the obvious. And, as you say, sorry if they don't like it.

If you want it *now* go download the CVS. They could have released that a year ago and you'd have spent all this time updating and debugging. Then you'd be complaining about how they released it too soon. ;)

Well, lets see, do you know why Paul gave out the dates... Do you have any idea why, the same reason he left... Because people like you put so much pressure on these people... They are doing it for free, in their SPARE time... What did you do on the weekend, go fishing, play a computer game, go on a short holiday... Imagine being stripped of that and instead building a peice of software for nothing... Nothing but the praise, and when that praise is replaced with scorn and whinging people it ruins it... It ruins a hobby... If you want to whine, either make your own software, or look for bugs on this one and report them, or better still go pay for the pay software, and have fun watching it sap your funds too!

LOL... If people like you stop asking... They'll stop giving... Pressure leads to mistakes so lay off the dev's...
