Cvs is so fast at downloading stuff it blew my mind away.

Well the files arent actually that large and If IIRC they are just downloading the changes.. You should try SVN I do believe that is even faster

Rsync is even faster.
CVS isnt actually fast. Its the same speed as downloading the files in a uncompressed zip or a tar file.
Your monitor blurring just makes it look fast.

svnX / never used CVS on mac :/
And I admit to having never used a CVS/SVN gui on linux, any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

I used MacCVS, btw. Works perfectly.
