I was talking to someone about adding mods to forums, and he said that when he retsrted his forums with phpbb 2.2 the center text mod was already installed, does 2.2 already come with that.

My sbapshot (which I installed about a week ago) doesn't seem to have it, but who knows, perhaps a newer version does!

Totally correct! I hadn't tried this feature yet, but now I just gave it a go and it works perfectly. This is yet another GREAT feature!
It would be even better though if it would automatically create a new button in the posting screen too, but I guess we shouldn't be too picky

Until you install eleventy billion and teh page takes forever to load, and the throws off all the tables, looks uneven, etc.

It adds a [center] tag to the forum BBCode. Pretty self-explanitory beyond that.
