Difference phpBB 2.1.x Snapshots and CVS modulename phpbb2?

Hi, I was wondering if there is any difference. Because when I update via CVS, the last update was on 24 September. When I look at http://phpbb.sourceforge.net/cvs/" target="_blank the updates are done on a hourly basis..

The cvs snapshots are made using a developer account (Paul's). Sourceforge maintains two cvs systems (?). One for developers, and another for anonymous users. I suppose this is done so that the server(s) the developers are accessing isn't bogged down by anonymous checkouts.

Personally, i've been waiting over a week to fetch a file from the public cvs servers. They used to be synchronised ever 24 to 48 hours.

This problem is being corrected by Sourceforge (slowly). Eventually, it will be back to nearly-instantaneous.

Yup, according to the latest update, SF reckon they will have their new CVS servers up and running within about a week to address this sort of problem. Whether it does, we'll have to wait and see
