Tried installing 2.2...

Hiiii,

I tried installing 2.2 just to see whats new and get to know the admin panel... but the damn thing could never write to "config.php" file even though it had all sorts of writeable rights.

I am not asking for support dont worry... just giving my input what happened when i tried installing.

you can try different snapshots, also the installation tells you what is wrong :idea:

Well, it does say that unfortunately config.php was not found, etc. and then it says its not writeable when initially it detected it and it was writeable. I will try another snapshot though. thanks

sigh, it's psotfx not "profox" ... we don't "forget to leave" files in. The snapshots are generated from CVS.

Just write your own config file.

not only the config file needs to be writeable, but also 3 directorys i think

check into your webserver permissions...sounds like not everything is enabled
