View visitors IPs

Good evening. i would like to strat off by saying that phpBB is doing a great job (you know, basically kiss butt ). Seriously though, phpBB 2.2 is turning out great.

Now my actual question. I have downloaded a CVS snapshopt (please spare me the "this is not the final version" lecture, i know and understand that), and in the admin area, there is nothing that shows the visitor IPs, like in 2.0.x. Has that feature been removed or not yet implemented? This feature seems to also be absent in the admin area screenshots posted here, at area51.

*this one does not have IP reporting implemented yet, but it will have the IP under "post details" in the mcp (moderator control panel) to my understanding

You simply navigate to the "who's online" page (/phpbb2/viewonline.php), mouse over their name, and their IP address pops up. Please note that in 2.2 you can restrict permission to view the "who's online" page to admins/moderators/whoever you want.

That could be a problem. I run a 2.0.6 board and, like many boards, have a couple of annoying users. I often cut and paste the IP addresses of guests and logged in users to other tools to allow me to do a DNS lookup and so on on there account. With the IP address now visible by a mouse-over only, this can't easily be done.

indeed, i hope they put it back in, and if not i am confidend someone would write a mod. Something i also would like to see regarding to IP adresses is that you can enter an ip adress and see alll users that logged in fropm that adress or all posts made. It is something i already could have used some times

This is a template variable. You can put it wherever you want (brackets behind the user, table, make it blink, make it flash, ...). 8)
