Error 500 when clicking on "Install MODs"

Error 500 when clicking on "Install MODs"
I just installed Easy Mod with no errors on the installation, but when I go to the administration panel and click on "Install MODs" the right pane of the browser returns a 500 error. What would be causing this? I have searched this forum and have not found anything similer...

Check your server error log to see what caused it. If you are using IE, go to Tools -> Options and uncheck the show friendly error pages to see if you see any details.

Should I have uploaded the files to my server in ASCII mode?

Try uploading a fresh copy of admin_easymod.php and see if that works.

I had to install the version changer to be able to do the reinstall even after deleting all the files and deleting the EASY MOD data tables... I reinstalled it again, the same thing. It tells me that the install was successful...
The version changer link under the MOD Center works. The Install, History and Settings links produce a 500 error..

This issue has been resolved:
For some reason the permissions on Easy Mod files were not set at 755....
