phpBB 4.0.0 Alpha 1 - Dev

Post by php-BB-Is-Awesome »

I just wanted to say thank you to the hard-working development team. Today, I decided to check out the developer branch's progress, and I see things have progressed nicely. Not only am I impressed by the backend changes, but I also love the changes made to prosilver's new look.

Arch Linux - localhost
PHP 8.0.2
Apache 2.4.46
MariaDB 10.5.8

Anywho, I only just wanted to say, thanks for all the hard work.

Visually they are not ground-breaking new changes but they are welcomed and I like it. Attached are a few side-by-side comparisons.

As you can expect most of the changes are under the hood (the code). I noticed an improved load and query execution when executing 4.0.0. That is the true gem in my opinion.
