Post Options Suggestion

Post by steve1200 »

Many users on my board are not programmers, and apparently do not understand some functional terms. I've noticed a failure to use the "Do not automatically parse URLs" in posts, so I end up with entries like http://mydomain.com.

As a result I reversed the logic so the box is checked by default and the text displays Automatically convert URLs to links. I believe this is easier to understand for those that do not know what parse means, and they might have a greater tendency to use the option as needed.

Additionally adding an option in ACP to set automatic parsing on or off for various forums would be great for boards that get URLs that point nowhere. It could work the same as Notify me when a reply is posted option.
