Calendar with events.

Oh Hey DavidIQ, don't misread me. I'm VERY thankful for phpBB...
The people that have been developing this software are amazing and greatly appreciated!

I'm okay with an Event Calendar as a Plugin, but there is not even that out there. I have been searching for a solid stable Calendar for a year now.

The Mountain Bike industry happens to be a very event oriented subject, so the demand is high for my necessity for a Calendar. So since I have a high need for one, as a phpBB Forum User/Administrator, what does a guy like me do? I'm by no means a .php programmer . . . just an end user.

Appreciate your time and knowledge...

Mikie

I hear ya.

A few pages back Sajaki said he'd look at converting his Calendar MOD to an extension so maybe prod him to see if he's still planning on it. If a MOD already exists then converting that to an extension shouldn't be very hard and asking a member of the extensions community on phpbb.com to do the conversion might yield a taker.

sajaki,
I would not know how to go about "begging" you for a Calendar as an extension! I'm not sure I know what the definition of extension is but it sounds like Event Calendar hope! :)

I have a Mountain Bike Website http://www.imtbtrails.com that uses phpBB and I have been trying for a solid year to find an Event Calendar like my competitor http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/calendar.php

I do hope this moves forward . . . thanks so much for being a smart guy... :D

You should bring yourself up to speed on what an extension is:
https://www.phpbb.com/extensions/

You could say it's the evolution of MODs. Gone are the days of having to edit code to get functionality/features you need or want.

I'm a tough battered raw mountain biker . . . but I could hug you right now...

Or he could try to convince people to make it an officially-supported extension. ;)
