More smileys must be placed in the drop-down box, obviously.
At the expense of osnovnyh- I think that they should remain as they are now.
Sorry for my English.

+1. Some boards I go on that have a lot of smileys are super annoying when you have to browse through a popup. Who even uses popups these days? :P

I took over a board. 20 pages of smilies...

We need category support as well :/

I think categories would be a bit overkill, but to have a dropdown box that can scroll would be nice, especially if a rich text editor would be added :)

It would be optional, and necessary, when you look at a forum like ours that has 20 pages of smilies already :/

I won't get into why there are so many. It's an inherited thing...

I see no disagreements here, can we have this for 3.3 :D

(I hope no one minds me reviving few old topics here and there that I believe could be of use.)

I really love this idea of dropdown & scrollable smilies.
Has this been implemented yet?
Adding the functionality of size & colors would make it more attractive. When a user would click on the smiley, he/she would get options of different colors they can choose from and if they just want to send out stickers they can vary its size by long/short press of the smiley :)

Nope. Not a single line of code has been submitted for this.

you could also consider doing something similar to the way the color functionality is set up and integrate it into the wysiwig nav...
