Late July/August would be pretty good actually.

I wouldnt use it on a live board unless you know what your doing.
A good way to tell if you know what your doing or not is if you can write the upgrade script yourself.

If you cant write the upgrade script yourself then keep it for testing only.

I am making a Jabber education site with a Jabber server for phpBB boards.
Having Jabber built in to phpBB could be the boost Jabber has been waiting for.

If you have a dedicated server then its simple. Just edit the line in php.ini.

If your on a shared host then you'll have to ask the host to change it.
Chances are they wont since some scripts need it.

Its not much of a security risk.

Think of it this way: You use Windows which is a much bigger security risk.

Shouldnt be too long IMHO. The beta code is rock solid so it shouldnt need many tweaks.

Yay its a little early for my birthday but its good enough.
