Re: [RFC][3.3.x] Supported PHP versions

by the time phpBB 3.3.0 is released we should have a good enough user base on PHP 7.0 While I know phpBB doesn't plan on dates, I think the bold part is key in this discussion. As it is now, quite some hosts do not offer PHP 7 yet. AFAIK, CentOS for example ships PHP 5.5 by default. It might be 5.6...

Re: Create BIG-BANG Convertor

I don't think that's really feasible. There are so much other forum software packages out there, each and everyone with other database structure, not to mention differences between different versions for these packages. Let's say you pick the top 20 software packages and support the last 3 major ver...

Re: phpBB and WebVR

phpBB is forum software. Content in phpBB is mostly text-based, with embedded media like images or videos. If some VR content would need to be embedded, a trivial BBcode would probably be sufficient. I don't think phpBB would have to do anything more than that.

Re: Some help creating a PR

I must say I'm getting a bit tired here. While all requested changes are clear, requesting, commenting, changing and reviewing takes at least three times more time than just fixing a typo and a version bump....

Re: Some help creating a PR

But new events added to 3.1 should also be added to 3.2, shouldn't they?

Some help creating a PR

Hello, I just created a PR for adding a template event: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/pull/4447 However, it seems to result in a huge PR with dozens of older commits I don't have anything to do with. Somehow I must have messed up. It's the first PR for me, so probably I have missed something...

Re: New topic button

Well, I chose the asterisk because it's like that in 3.1 and 3.0 prosilver:

I'm perfectly happy with something else, but I have no intention to re-invent the wheel when it's been clear since at least 2007.
