Placeholder is an new attribute of HTML5 and only Ascraeus use this doctype, so... the answer is yes.

FAQ entries are defined in the language files that can be easily edited via ACP or downloading the file and editing it.

I was reviewing and testing the new types and I think that just email and url should be used.
