Indeed, you definitivly never understood a clue to what I was saying, and I guess this is perfectly volontairy. So thanks to not trolling on this, till you make the effort to understand, and perhaps to get a reflection on it.

Re: SSH/SCP support?

The better is to install an apache emulation on your computer, and phpBB with easymod. When you have all moded and tested, you will just have to upload your files and do the modifications requested by the mods to your database. Doing so, you won't have any trouble and you will be able to choose the ...

Re: Protecting the FTP password

Yep, it was relative to the easymod pass, not the ftp pass, and btw is a more generic deal of access to an option using phpbb natural auths :). Actually, I don't think it's a good idea to store the ftp pass anywhere in anyway outside the current session, that's why I think looping into the easymod m...

Re: Strange carriage return after each line inserted!

I would look at the charset by my side : the \n\r seems to be not recognized as a LF/CR. It could be also an issue with the copy command. Try to use an hexa dumper in order to display the char code.

[/quote]Wrong. In order to be validated, a mod has to be entirely, comments included, in english. Ask J.Abelha about this point.

Re: 07: Watch your Languages

To package a mod in a language or not is the choice of the author, not a feature of easymod (I really can't see how easymod would be able to translate a description or a title if not provided by the author). Even if in some you can be comfuse by a language name regarding the country (I'm think ie of...

Re: 08: Be Style Conscious

As I said : it is not a need (and haven't to be), but you can do it like if you want : it would be convenient for some mods, not at all for other. I've got the both case for my mods :).

Re: 08: Be Style Conscious

My point can be summarize to this : qualifications of file and/or directories is absolutly not a need : actually, if you assume that all what that have to be installed should stand in a mod description, you doesn't need to have a rather tricky analyse of filename or dirname. All is written in those ...

Re: 08: Be Style Conscious

I don't think the deal here is the copy command, but rather the edit command, or more exactly, non-edit command (meaning not applying a part of mod if a similar part exists specificely). About phpbb dir structure, the more I go on with my mods, the less I use it, having rather a modular structure (m...

Re: 08: Be Style Conscious

The point is there is no need to qualify the dirs actually : as a mod description is present for each part, each one can be easely identify and named, so installed. Regarding qualifying the filenames, well, I think it is only a paliative to the need to be able or not to apply a mod to what it isn't ...
