AJAX has magical powers. According to everyone it makes everything better. Solves all of life's problems. I once saw an AJAX interface change a car tyre. Now that was impressive. It did it without any refreshing too. Saved valuable milliseconds with only a large increase in coding complexity too

This is something that few people will want, it's not core features. PhpBB 3.0 has been feature frozen for a few years.

If you want to make it as a mod then please do. But it wont be core code. Ever I'd guess.
