Re: Update to stable version possible?
Or you could try to update only the data (do not the structure) from all your tables and import them again when you install 2.2 I can't tell you it will work with certainty, but if you have a bit of knowledge of mysql/php, it shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand I wouldn't recommend you to use ...

Re: nice work.
To have the defaults/settings to work in previous snapshots, you only had to change one line of codeBMWGuy wrote:the board defaults/settings works now, etc. Excellent!! I love progress.............keep up the great work!
But I think everyone agrees they are doing a great job 8)

Re: Why don't release this "fairly stable" phpBB 2
No they just want to avoid any support-questions.
They can even barely handle one question (the 'when is it going to be released' one), so why throw a "fairly stable"-version online ?
That's the main reason I guess

Re: phpbb 2.2?
Totally agree. If I could make one teeny criticism of the team here ( 8O ) it's that they shouldn't be so afraid of setting but then missing target dates. Paul has now said 2.2 might not be out this year. Is the whole phpBB community up in arms? Of course not. We understand that overruns happen and...

Re: I finally upgraded from 2.04 to 2.0.10 rather than waiti
Yeah, I totally agree. A few months ago I only read the posts on this board without posting. But why don't you upgrade every version ? If you have a backup, then you shouldn't worry to much. Making a backup isn't that hard, especially when you already managed to install phpBB. So keeping updated is ...

Re: will the CVS's be more up-to-date than the betas'?
As I don't want to start a new topic for this ... Is the CVS updated regularly ? I see that my zip-file that's a few months old has about the same size as the current CVS-file. Also ... all the CVS-files in the snapshot section don't have the same size. Does this mean that there are difference betwe...

Re: Question: Why do i get this?
@delos Yeah, I had the same problem, but I fixed it. Just a hint: it's something with your sessions ;) He just doesn't 'remember' you when you log in. Some other small changes have to be made, but that's the biggest one. I'm afraid I already said way too much, so try to fix your problem :) @IDR: If ...
