Option one may potentially be considered in the future. As for option two, I'm afraid to say that it's really not viable. There were many accounts that had not logged in since RC7, when password hashes were changed. Imagine what would happen if everyone were to make/be granted a request.

The easiest way is to simply remove all phpBB files and drop the database. You did install the forum yourself, correct?

I doubt the email addresses have made their way to any spam lists quite yet. My @phpbb.com address, which was the one all things leaked, has yet to receive a single one.

Indeed, the most you guys can do to help right now is please forward us the link (via PM) of any website found copying the malicious user's blog post or any of the data he uploaded so the proper channels can be contacted to have it removed.
