Re: phpBB 3.3.1-RC1 released
There's no need to remove FA 4 as there's FA-provided backward compatibility layer which allows Prosilver to render FA 4 icons via FA 5. Thanks. I've been awaiting 3.3.1 as it fixes a number of annoying bugs that my members have reported and I want the ensure the update goes smoothly. I've been tes...

Re: phpBB 3.3.1-RC1 released
Will the update instructions from phpBB 3.3.0 to 3.3.1 (i.e. https://www.phpbb.com/support/documents.php?mode=install&version=3) remain the same? My boards are generally updated using the Full package method, so I'm left to wonder if there are any new/changed steps required to make sure that the...

Re: phpBB 3.3.1-RC1 released
The font awesome icons are now much bigger everywhere. phpBB 3.3.1 now uses FA 5 while phpBB 3.2.10 uses FA 4.7. Not sure if that relates though. Good catch Tastenplayer and thanks to 3Di for providing the detail. Notable Improvements Enable/disable mechanism for new profilefield types Only one ema...

Re: phpBB 3.3.1-RC1 released
Thanks team. 👍👍🍻 On my localhost testing environment I've successfully upgraded a board from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1-RC1 using the full package. In case anyone is tracking environment information, I'm running Centos 8.2 with PHP 7.3.19 (Remi Repository). I've specifically tested the ability to delete multipl...

Re: Searching in PMs
For what it is worth https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2263011. Agreed this should be core phpBB functionality and since the extension was abandoned, perhaps the phpBB development team would consider making it part of phpBB 4 The repository for the above mentioned Extension ...

Re: [PHPBB3-16426] Search settings should allow specification of number of characters to return
Well, I've created two PR's for now: [ticket/16434] Add forum id to advanced search in viewforum Tested on my localhost testbed using a backup of one of my boards. Confirmed it works as expected. [ticket/16426] Search results return characters as input box Perhaps you guys want to test them out asw...

That was quick. I will most definitely test them out, likely later today or early tomorrow. I'm busy upgrading my boards from phpBB 3.2.9 to 3.3.0 today. Going smoothly so far.

Re: [PHPBB3-16426] Search settings should allow specification of number of characters to return
f I go to a forum like 3.3.x Support Forum and enter search terms in the "Search this forum..." input field presented there, I'm searching exactly where I want to be searching, but using options I couldn't control the defaults for. I can hit the "Advanced Search" gear icon inste...
