Re: Text formatter differences

Thanks Rich - I have exactly the same problem with one of my extensions.

I have tried manually creating it, replacing various characters - all to no avail.

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-RC1 prosilver template with funny repeats

3.2.0-RC1 has not been released yet, and should only be used if you know how to install a development version of phpBB. It has already been pointed out that 3.2.0-RC1 may not be complete.

Re: [RFC] Ability to @mention specific users in posts

I really wonder how challenging/difficult it is to add this to the core. Or write an extension. Apparantly it is quite difficult. An extension was started but was abandoned. From what I can recall of the extension the main problem was that the way the data that is needed for this is stored in phpBB...

Re: Here is what I think

I will give you the benefit of the doubt as you are new to this board. If the coders are not up for the task of actually developing, there is no reason for them to keep sitting around and drink coffee all day. As the developers, and everyone else connected with phpBB, are volunteers who do what they...

Re: Make use of REQUIRED attribute in forms?

There is a possible complication with using the "required" attribute and that is where a field is only required in some circumstances. I am not sure how often, or if, this occurs in phpBB but say for example a field is required when creating a new forum but is not required when amending it...

On the basis that you have stated in another topic that you will not be using phpBB anymore then this is all irrelevant.

Re: [RFC] Human Readable URLs

You could also ask the question isn't there a "general" lack of interest of developers to make extensions for phpBB ? With 160 extensions approved into the CDB and well over 400 still in development I would say that there is a considerable interest in developing extensions (and those are ...

Has he created a Pull Request for the event he needs? If not then it will not suddenly appear by magic.

Re: PHPBB3-10418 - WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

There is a valid argument that says it should be an extension then those who want it can have it and those who don't won't have it.

To put it in the core, as an option, will only serve to inflate the core.
