Re: Private Forums
2.0.x should only display threads on the search if you are able to read that thread or forums if you can read or view (I forget which) the forum. If you think it is a bug and are able to reproduce it on a clean install (non-MODed) then you should log a bug when the site is back up, but I'm not awar...

Re: Will ALL BETA's of 2.2 be 100% UPGRADEABLE?
From what I've seen, my guess would be:
pre-Alpha and Alpha: No upgrade path unless you do it manually since they are not supported
Beta: Maybe, but don't count on it
RC: Probably

Re: Install error
If this is after you have done the installation and pressed the button to go to the admin panel or whatever it says, try removing the install/ and contrib/ directories and refreshing the page.

Re: Fork phpBB
If you are meaning there is no-one working on convertors to 2.2, well you shouldn't really be surprised :) It's still a work in progress, and there is absolutely no point in trying to work on something that interacts with a moving target. Once it hits Release Candidate stage and data formats are fa...

Of course what this generally means is that the major software has ...

Re: safe_mode
I think it very unlikely that it will require it to be off, but there are probably certain things that you may not be able to do/will have to do manually if it is turned on.
Re: Uh..
It's a work in progress, that's the problem
What it probably means is that someone is in the middle of work on that part of the system.

Re: Milestone?
Yes, they are still working on M2 but i don't know how close to finishing it they are, although a few things have appeared here on area51 that are planned for future milestones to allow the developers to test them in a "live" environment. Once they hit M2, I'm guessing that the version nu...
