Re: PHPBB VS vbulletin

The main reason it is not doing as well is because all code changes to phpBB are exclusively by voluntary people. I.e., they are not paid to change the code, they only do it for passion. On the other hand, vBulletin has dedicated developers to develop the software who are paid. Based on that, I gues...

Re: PHPBB3-10620 - Quote tag improvement

Re-doing AmigoJack 's post with extra tests: Clicking the quote button creates the BBCode as intended: [quote=Nicofuma post_id=281511 time=1436255398 user_id=111569]Merged[/quote] renders as: Merged Robustness when skipping user ID in BBCode: [quote=Nicofuma post_id=281511 time=1436255398]Merged[/qu...

Re: Which IE versions should we kill?

As long as we keep on using progressive enhancement, phpBB will always "work" in IE8, even if it doesn't look completely right (unsupported CSS) or some functionality doesn't seem to be working (unsupported JS operations), it will always be possible to simply use phpBB with any browser.

Re: WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

Are you OK if I don't do this and give more time for discussion? I guess it is not something that important to have and we may have better suggestions from phpBB's users. I'll keep this working for inline BBCode (b,i,u,etc...) but it won't work for block-level BBCode. @Pony99CA I'll get you one late...

Re: Which IE versions should we kill?

IMO, from a webdev perspective, IE9 is an acceptable browser and IE10 is a good browser. They behave in a good or OK manner, specially considering the time they were made. Starting on IE11, I think they finally caught up on the "train" and they are doing it right. In other words, Volksdevi...

@Nicofuma, @joshyPHP, regardless of the above question in this post, what do you think?
