The simple answer is you do it at your own risk.
It's unlikely that the template system itself will change significantly, but there have been changes in the variables exposed to templates since Beta 2 and there may be more

Re: What about those "community coding projects?"
The short answer is that none of them will be in 3.0.
The events code should feature in 3.2, the others it remains to be seen

Re: Last Topic Name in index
We will not be added a switch to the ACP for this. The variables for both the preferred colour for the last poster name and the topic of the last post are available in the template, it will be up to the designer of the template whether they are used or not (the default template will use the colour b...

Re: Consensus on Attachment Extensions..
The system allows further extensions to be added via the ACP - so for more specialised cases, the intention is that administrators will add the required formats themselves.

Re: Consensus on Attachment Extensions..
A couple of points to be noted here before this list gets too silly 1. The attachment functionality is not intended for providing a download site - so files which are mainly likely to be used for that sort of functionality would be questionable to be added 2. There needs to be a reasonable chance th...

Re: Calendar
There is no calendar in phpBB 3.0.x so I can only assume you are referring to a MOD. If this is to 2.0.x you're in the wrong place - try the relevant thread for the MOD on the main site, if this is to 3.0.x there is no support for modifications at this time.

Re: RC1 Including New Stuff?
Yes and no :P The ACP and installation are deliberately templated that way so that they are not dependent on any particular style. Thus it is highly unlikely that we will change the templates in any way. We might alter the CSS to some extent to synchronise colours/fonts a bit more but that would be ...

Re: Security in phpBB3
AcydBurn's comments apply equally to that one - the fact is that the majority of what it claims to block doesn't actually do anything on an up to date install anyway. Indeed from my recollection of the last time I looked at that MOD some months back it actually created security holes...... There are...
