I'm expecting phpBB4 Beta on new years day 2100, an awesome way to start the year (phpBB will be continued by the current developers' grandchildren). That is assuming that we haven't blown ourselves up yet.

Why will phpBB3 not have a quick reply built into it (with a choice in the ACP), when many more useless 2.0.x mods have been put into phpBB3 (like birthdays)?

But it still makes some people wonder if they should waste there time on modding for phpBB2 when they could announce that the beta for phpBB3 is coming out anytime. It doesn't give any warning at all, especially when you take in to consideration when some mods take months to make.
