Re: AUTO restrict forum access via custom profile field?

I haven't seen a MOD made... I know I've definitely seen it requested. Searching isn't quite back to normal over there, but try checking out MOD forums at the main site.

Re: major forum dissfunction

Can you give us a test account, since you said this is only when logged in?

Any changes your host would have made during this time frame? Errors usually don't just appear out of nowhere, so something must have been changed somewhere. :?

Re: Need help desparately. (Form stopped working - Error Msg)

It seems just simply a matter of the wrong file getting copied over. It happens. We always suggest making backups before doing updates or installing MODs. Just be sure to transfer files over carefully, paying attention to which file is in which folder. It's OK! You can do it. :) And you are correct ...

Arg, Fantastico. This is why we don't support those type of host provided script installers. Please do this: Download the real 3.0.4 from our package at http://www.ohloh.net/p/phpbb/download?package=phpBB+Installation Upload all files except config.php, and your /images, /files, and /store di...

Re: Need help desparately. (Form stopped working - Error Msg)

It almost appears as though perhaps the index.php in the board root was replaced by one in the install folder... I would try first getting a fresh download of the full 3.0.4 and replace the index.php. Then delete all /cache files except .htaccess and index.htm. It is possible that more of the files ...

Re: Users online in the past 24 or 48 hours?

The asterisk is a "wildcard," meaning it stands in place for anything. So the instructions are telling you to copy over all files ending in .sql, or in this case, the whole install_wwh folder, which contains a schemas folder, and a number of .sql files.

Re: Need help desparately. (Form stopped working - Error Msg)

When you did the update, did the updater replace the files, or did you have to download them and ftp to replace the old?

Re: Shrink Large Images

Something like this in a MOD install instruction is to be entered into your database. Your host probably provides something like phpmyadmin to manage your database through the hosting control panel. You'll go there to the database with your forum, and you'll paste the entry into the sql box. Also se...

Re: create forum administrator

Administrator tasks are board-wide. They handle the management of the board as a whole. As such, you cannot make someone an admin of a forum. As this is for a single forum on your board, would it work to make a group with permissions in this forum and have the colleague be the group leader? The user...
