Re: PHPBB3-14000 - Add support for emoji

how the different OSes handle It's up to the used font(s) only. But if phpBB wants to go the same way as others and replace characters by pictures: http://unicode.org/emoji/charts/full-emoji-list.html and http://apps.timwhitlock.info/emoji/tables/unicode have comparison tables. They are characters ...

Re: PHPBB3-14000 - Add support for emoji

Emojis are characters. And because of that, it depends on the fonts being used how they render. You enter them just like any other character: the minority of all characters can be entered with your current keyboard layout (this applies to those with latin letters, aswell as to those with cyrillic, ...

Or not from the current page? What about search results? And signatures? And forum descriptions? Yes, quotes are not really expected, but not forbidden either.

Partially: per post poster_id is set to ANONYMOUS, but post_username is filled to still distinguish between multiple deleted accounts. The username can live on without an account.

Re: Try harder to fix block elements BBCodes used inside of inline elements BBCodes

While I welcome to finally respecting valid HTML (I tried to drag attention to this years ago) I wonder how to deal with this in general: consider all the custom BBCodes that you can't imagine - how to recognize/deal with those?

Re: PHPBB3-10620 - Quote tag improvement

Clicking the quote button creates the BBCode as intended: [quote=Nicofuma post_id=281511 time=1436255398 user_id=111569]Merged[/quote] renders as: Merged Robustness when skipping user ID in BBCode: [quote=Nicofuma post_id=281511 time=1436255398]Merged[/quote] as expected: username is not clickable ...

Re: PHPBB3-10620 - Quote tag improvement

There's literally no difference between quoted and unquoted. My question was how then a string as "" (opposed to an empty string) can be detected, when it can mean both things: a quoted empty string, and an unquoted string with two quotation marks. There's no message_id when quoting priva...

Re: PHPBB3-10620 - Quote tag improvement

As far as the parser is concerned, they're all the same. It makes no difference. How does it distinguish between attribute="" and attribute= when I want to input "" as string? post_id= time= user_id= Aren't those names longer than they need to be? It's obvious that IDs are used ...

Re: PHPBB3-13933 - Update tokens' definitions in acp_bbcodes

First of all: how on earth does the string _http://_ (yes - all of that is needed: the protocol, colon, two slashes and enclosing non-word characters) alone trigger make_clickable to partially convert it into a link? That's clearly a bug on whatever version is used right here. A valid URL using any ...
