Re: Transitional Page after Post or Login

... who would want to take the trouble to click to reply only to type a draft? While I don't use it often, having the Save feature has kept me from losing posts to session expiration, so I'm grateful for it. I may get interrupted, or I may just get thoughtful/long winded and lose track of time. I p...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

I think that the future there should be better support for inter-product integration. (I think you can see my pet-hate with the state of current web-applications). A way of installing Wordpress, Joomla!, MediaWiki & phpBB all on the same site, with the ability to have the same user, preferences...

Re: Global Warming

Yes, people should absolutely be concerned with taking action. But you don’t have to swallow baloney to take action. I agree. If I saw more ordinary people like us quit relying on the debunkers for a reason to do nothing, I'd feel much better. Debunking is fine and all, but it's not very productive...

Re: Global Warming

But, you see, we have the "sloppy data" problem right here in this thread. Consider the assertion that "this global warming stuff is JUNK" against the assertion that "Global temps BOTH Jan and Feb came in just a bit over -1/2 degrees below normal which is the biggest drop ev...

Re: Global Warming

Since modern life -- what we call "progress" -- depends on factories and on consumption, the whole techno-industrial state ought to come under scrutiny. People who defend modernism as preferable to the alternatives are hard pressed to explain, it seems to me, how a return to the alternativ...

Re: Global Warming

It's well known that slight fluctuations in solar output have measurable effects on our weather (so long term changes in solar output mean long term climate change), and it's well known that we've had radiacally different weather in the past than we have now. When it comes to global warming as an en...

Re: Global Warming

A couple of years ago I read that people in mid-latitudes will begin to experience unusual weather extremes due to global warming. For my area, that seems true for this winter. For example, we went in a matter of four or five hours from mid-forties and rain to single digits and blizzard-like conditi...

Re: Why not allowed to hire a programmer here?

People who want to connect to others for development of phpBB should be able to do that through a phpBB development forum. I want to make phpBB better and if that can't be done through this forum I strongly question who is really running it. - Bill Gates? :? I don't see what Bill Gates has to do wi...

Re: Quick Reply

Thread can also refer to a group of posts relating to one subject/topic (dictionary.com/webster.com) Again, I understand what you're saying, but the word 'thread' has evolved from just the view, which is not what I was referring to. Indeed. If memory serves, we called them threads in the old days, ...
