Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

I would like to see the beta today because I'm quite bored at the moment. However if the devs think they need more time to get things sorted then they can have more time. phpBB 2.0.X is still working well ;).

Re: How long do you think will the beta last?

I hope it will just last less than a month because of the bug killing which is going on at the moment :). Btw are there still features missing in the CVS?

Re: RC/Gold

As I would understand it it is a release which has only small bugs left (if any) and if the candidate is satisfactory it becomes gold.

Re: how to update?

You can't at the moment because Olympus is still under development. However when it is finished there will be an upgrade script similar to the one in phpBB 2 which will help you with upgrading.

Sorry, couldn't help myself
How could I help? ^^

Hm. I'm really happy about the progress of phpBB and every commit to the cvs makes me even happier ;) and the current CVS looks really nice. Good work from the devs until now.

Re: register globals?

How do you mean that? Will they remove register globals completely?
Yes, exactly.

And to stallyon, I repeat my earlier post in this topic. There is no incentive for hosts to turn off register globals because many n00b php coders still use it. A dedicated server is great, but there is no reason ...

Re: register globals?

I just deleted

Code: Select all

$passed['db'] = false;
;). I think that was easier.

Re: register globals?

Yes you can. I had to change one line to make it work with me because the installer didn't recognise on my server that register globals were off.
